Entities
The characters, places, objects and factions of your story world.
Key points
- Define the role and description of each entity.
- Entities feed Smart Context.
- Keep them up to date for better consistency.
What entities are for
Entities are the records of your world: characters, places, objects and factions, each with a role and a description. They are organized by type, with characters front and center for fiction projects.
The link with the AI
Every entity goes into Smart Context: when you ask the AI to write a scene, the assistant knows who the characters involved are, what they look like and how they speak. Well-kept descriptions = characters whose eye color doesn't change halfway through the book.
Practical advice
Create the main entities before you start writing, and update their profiles as the characters evolve. For the wider setting (world rules, history, lore) use Worldbuilding, which works in tandem with entities.
